Dr. John Subosits is director of the Extreme Performance Intelligent Control team within the Human Interactive Driving (HID) division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). PCML is developing AI systems that amplify the efforts of race engineers and vehicle designers in Toyota’s motorsports and performance vehicle divisions. His research focuses on the creation of driver models that drive and adapt as well as the best human racing drivers.

Dr. Subosits holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University and master's and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. Trajectory planning for autonomous vehicles at their performance limits was the focus of his doctoral work.
