Aimee Goncalves is a senior mechanical engineer on the Dexterous Manipulation team within the Robotics division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI) focusing on soft tactile robotics. She explores the intersection of highly deformable softness and sensing (making hard robots soft) for force-sensitive and force-aware whole-body manipulation and physical human-robot interaction.

Aimee received her M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley and B.S from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, both in mechanical engineering.
