Alyssa Lau (she/her) is manager of Facilities and Operations Services at Toyota Research Institute (TRI), leading a team that strives to provide and maintain world-class working environments that promote TRI’s research and ongoing collaboration. Alyssa is also responsible for TRI’s security and safety programs as well as real estate transactions.
Alyssa began her career at TRI as a Facilities project manager, helping to manage our office and lab build-outs in both California and Massachusetts. Prior to TRI, Alyssa worked as an owner’s project manager helping clients across the Greater Boston area with build-outs and renovations and then handing off finished spaces to the in-house Facilities teams. Her projects included office spaces for bio-tech firms as well as multiple graduate student housing facilities for Harvard University.
Alyssa has a B.S. in civil and environmental engineering from Villanova University and began her career in environmental compliance and remediation. Working primarily in the industrial and petroleum sectors, she gained in-the-field experience and was exposed to larger construction scopes which inspired her transition to project management and facilities.
