Dr. Rowan McAllister is a senior manager in the Automated Driving Advanced Development division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). His background is primarily in machine learning methods for autonomous vehicle planning. 

Dr. McAllister earned a Master of Philosophy at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics and a Ph.D. in machine learning at the University of Cambridge. He previously worked on autonomous vehicles as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and as a research scientist at Waymo. Dr. McAllister has also organized several academic workshops on autonomous driving.
