TRI's Guy Rosman Contributes to MIT Research on Autonomous Car Navigation 1 Minute Read

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Guy Rosman, TRI Research Scientist, has co-authored a paper with MIT researchers that summarizes the ability to bring more human-like reasoning to autonomous vehicles.

Rosman worked with MIT researchers -- including Daniela Rus, director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and the Andrew and Erna Viterbi Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science -- to create a system that uses only simple maps and visual data to enable driverless cars to navigate routes in new, complex environments.

Their research is being presented this week at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Montreal.
